Working with the Child of Today

Educational support for teachers and parents
with Mary Jo Oresti

Monday to Friday, May 7 through 11, 2012, 9:00 am to 12:30 pm

“The simple act of nurturing the senses might do far more for healing the world than all our programs and interventions.”
Cheryl L. Sanders

This five-day program will discuss children’s need for movement, the relation between movement and brain development, dealing with daily experiences of stress and trauma, how nutrition can heal the soul and improve concentration and the role of stories in healing behaviour.

Activities will include presentations, as well as exercises in movement, drawing, and simple painting, all designed to explore what hinders our ability to learn. Find out how to achieve better concentration, spatial orientation and coordination through these practices. What you discover can be used by a teacher in the classroom or by a parent at home.
